Do you like to sing? Would you like to sing as part of an ambitious Chorus performing an innovative and exciting programme alongside a large symphony orchestra?
This is your chance! We’d love some new members to join our Chorus, who rehearse on Tuesday evenings in Chesterton, Cambridge. We perform in venues such as West Road Concert Hall in Cambridge, Saffron Walden’s Saffron Hall, and Ely Cathedral.
This season, we’ve already sung Haydn’s Nelson Mass, with Tippett’s A Child of Our Time coming up in December, Lili Boulanger’s Vieille Prière Bouddhique, the Poulenc Gloria and a new commission by Lucy Armstrong in March, and a concert performance of Mascagni’s Cavalleria Rusticana and Pagliacci by Leoncavallo in July.
As well as pushing ourselves to perform at the highest standard, we enjoy the social side of making music together too – and we’d love to meet you!
Under 35?
We’re particularly keen to welcome young adult singers so if you come to a couple of rehearsals, like what you see and pass a simple audition, for this year only we’d like to offer you an introductory deal on our member subscription rate:
Pay just £90 – instead of £180 – for your first year of Chorus membership if you’re under 35!
